Sid Al-Thumali
Sid is an Arab-American theatre artist residing in Spokane. He’s the creative/resident director of The Traveling Theater Company for Wayward Artists.
Under his theatre troupe, he has produced Reflexion by Art Por Díaz at the Baby Bar, and First Place written by himself for Terrain.
He’s a recipient of the SAGA grant for 2020. With that grant, he will produce a playwright forum called Finding Your Light: An Evening of One-Act Plays in collaboration with Art Por Díaz by 2021.
He’s a graduate of Gonzaga University with a degree in theatre arts with a performing arts concentration. During his time there, he received a certificate of merit in directing for play Dog Sees God by Bert V. Royal presented by the Kennedy Center American College Theater Festival.
He’s also the host of Wayward Artists in a Wayward World. A storytelling podcast where he sits down with a guest every Sunday to talk about the people they’re thankful for.
He’s looking forward to getting his masters degree in the future and extend the reach of Wayward Artists to more people
